Welcome to the Murdo Frazer Tuesday Ladies Golf Club
We are a group of retired (some senior) ladies that appreciate the value of fresh air, light excercise, and good friends. On Tuesday mornings we get exclusive use of the Murdo Frazer Golf Course from opening time (9:00am) until 10:30.
We’re a social bunch, so we like to mix it up. Before each game we have a random drawing of golfing partners so by the season’s end everyone knows everyone and everyone makes new friends. We divide ourselves by random draw into nine teams of three or four ladies depending on how many people make it out.
Once the groups are set, each proceeds to one of the nine holes (tees) from where they start. At the sound of the horn, we all start playing and each group goes through all nine holes so that we all play golf and finish playing golf together. This is called a “Shotgun Start”.
Pitch and putt is a much more enjoyable game for us to play because the holes are shorter (max 100 yards, 625 yards total) and we don’t have to spend all day walking between holes (ladies have better things to do). We can usually complete our golf game in an hour and a half.
After golf we gather at the clubhouse (pro shop) to chat, discuss scores, and maybe even a little celebrating someone’s great score. A few times throughout the season we organize parties and luncheons and other special events as well. Come out and join us, we guarantee you will have fun!
It’s a great way to meet new friends and keep in touch with your current friends. We’re always looking forward to meeting new ladies willing to give golf a chance.
