Global News Feature…

Three Sisters

All of us here at Murdo Frazer are so proud of our “Swinging Sisters”.  Now get your minds out of the gutter – we’re not that kind of website!  Murdo Frazer is blessed to have three sisters play here together on a very regular basis.  Our thanks and  huge respect go out to Bay Logie, Grace Leader and the ‘baby sister’, Ruth March.

Sisters playing pitch and putt together, you ask??  So what??  Well these girls are in their nineties!  Well in truth the youngest is only in her late eighties – but you get my point.

Global News recently did a piece on these golfing marvels.  Way to go girls!!

Sixth Tee Redesigned

6 Redo

She's coming back to form

Get excited gang!  As we speak a crew is working on an elevated tee deck on the sixth hole.  Years ago when Ian wasn’t in control of the golf course a bad decision was made by the current management – they elected to move the tee down on to the flat where you’ve been playing it for too long.  This year, we’ve decided to undo this awful mistake.  We’re putting the tee back where it belongs!  Once again the sixth will be the signature hole on the course!

As you’re out playing take a peek and see what’s going on up there.

What is an “Arnold Palmer”?

Getting thirsty on the golf course? Have an “Arnold Palmer”.

A mix of 50% Iced Tea and 50% Lemonaide. Take it from a pro, nothing refreshes you better while playing golf.

So, the next time you’re playing a round of Pitch and Putt at Murdo Frazer, you know what to bring to quench that thirst.
– - Tell your friends you took Arnold Palmer golfing.

US Open predictions…

OK, so now that we’re finished crying in our beers over the Canucks devastating defeat it’s time to get back to golf. Here are a few guys I think are worth watching at Congressional:
Rory McIlroy – This kid is fearless!
Luke Donald – accurate and consistent.
Dustin Johnson – Power and poise
Ian Poulter – how bad can a player named Ian be??
Ricky Fowler – The American version of McIlroy.

There you have it, gang – Ian’ s picks to win the US Open.

Thursday Ladies having a party

The Thursday ladies had a wonderful time today. After a spirited game of pitch and putt golf they sat down for coffee and cookies. Speaking of which – who made those mint chocolate cookies??

I think I love you!    Delicious!!

Golf Lessons for Kids – Update

Murdo Frazer has updated their Golf Lessons for Kids page to include more information on what material is covered in the golf lessons.

If your child is between the ages of 5 and 14 and considering golf for a fun summertime activity, or if you are wondering about the benefits of golf lessons at this age, that page should give you all the information you need to know.

If you look at the slots available for these courses you will see how fast they fill up. Avoid disappointment, book now.
